Linda Pampinella
A native of New Jersey, Linda Pampinella quickly became enamored with the breathtaking landscapes of the Four Corners area after moving to Bayfield, Colorado in 1998. Changing to digital imaging had the biggest impact on her photography. It changed her mere fascination with photography into a passion. Her images run from landscapes to abstracts and a few things in between.
“I hope my work encourages people to become more aware of their surroundings and to find beauty in extraordinary places. Finding the right combination of elements to photograph is the first step. Creating an intriguing image that makes people pause is the art.”
Linda’s work has been published in DURANGO MAGAZINE and has won numerous awards including Best of Show at the Center of Southwest Studies, Fort Lewis College; Best of Show at the Pagosa Springs Arts Council, Pagosa Springs, CO; third prize in New Mexico Magazine’s annual photo competition. Her images have also been exhibited in juried shows at the Durango Arts Center; La Plata Open Space Conservancy, Durango; the Farmington Museum, Farmington, NM; Shy Rabbit Gallery, Pagosa Springs, CO; The Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO; Old Court House Arts Center, Woodstock, IL; Open Shutter Gallery, Durango, CO. In addition she was selected “Chosen Artist” for the Durango Area Tourism Office and was named Grand Champion of both the Archuleta County Fair and the La Plata County Fair in Colorado several times. She is an officer of the Durango Photography Club.
